Tui Kamikamica rushed to hospital after suspected stroke

Melbourne Strom prop Tui Kamikamica has been hospitalised after suffering a suspected stroke.

Kamikamica was at home in Melbourne when he suffered an episode in the middle of the night, his partner called an ambulance and he was taken to hospital, the Daily Telegraph reported.

“He has undergone treatment for a suspected stroke and is recovering in hospital,” a Storm statement read.

“Tui is receiving the best possible care and is being supported by hospital specialists, alongside the club’s medical staff.”

“The Club asks that Tui’s privacy is respected at this time. Further updates will be provided when appropriate.

The 31-year-old played 25 minutes in the Storms loss to the North Queensland Cowboys on Saturday night.
